Why is RoadSense important?

Road crashes are a leading cause of death and injury for New Zealand children. In 2005, 31 children aged 14 and under were killed on the roads and another 1147 were injured.

RoadSense has been developed to give children the skills they need to protect them on the road as passengers, as pedestrians and as riders.

RoadSense has been designed to lay the foundations for a lifelong learning process. The skills that children learn will help them become responsible drivers and road users as they grow older.
